They tell me I'm crazy,
But You told me I'm golden.
But You told me I'm golden.

I am just a small shy girl from a rural town in Northern New Jersey. I was raised picking wild berries, splashing in brooks and carving out trails in the mountain behind my house. I never learned how to make friends or socialize. I only learned how to play instruments and work the cash register at a family friend’s bait and tackle shop.
Before my parents moved me away to Florida, they gave me a disposable camera to take pictures for memories of my friends. I didn’t have any so I just took random pictures of kids at school.
And here I am, 21.
And still, all I know how to do is work a register.
And still, with no photograph album filled with pictures of friends.
